3Netics^® Corporation was incorporated in Washington State in 2002.  It is privately held.

There are a number of opportunities for joint ventures particularly with the PicoSpot^® DNA Synthesizer.  Feasibility testing has been completed and a strong patent on the core technology is expected to be issued in 2005.  There is growing interest in personalizing drug treatment as well as in rapid iterations of DNA testing.  Another application is to confirm microarray experiments prior to committing to expensive spotting runs of hundreds or thousands of microscope slides.

Because the 3Netics Synthesizer uses standard-sized microscope slides, there is no investment required for specialized ancillary equipment such as hybridizers and readers.
